Now You Have More Choices: Corolla iM Hatchback or Corolla Sedan

February 3rd, 2017 by

The Corolla hasn’t had a hatchback in the family for more than a decade. Now Toyota brings you the 2017 Corolla iM. What’s the difference? Check out your Corolla choices at Gloucester Toyota dealer serving Hampton Roads VA.

Hatchback vs. Sedan
The iM wears a different look than the regular Corolla. A hexagonal lower grille is flanked by sharp-eyed headlights. The sedan has a longer wheelbase, but both offer a generously sized cabin. For travel, the sedan has a trunk, measuring 13 cu.ft. For those who are serious haulers, the hatchback has a hold which measures a more generous 20.8 cu.ft.

High Content Cabins
Both come with standard dash technology, although the iM edition has a different setup than the Entune touchscreen on the regular Corolla. You’ll enjoy a world of music choices with Aha and HD radio. The Corolla comes in eight trim levels while the iM is offered in one well-appointed trim. Hatchback trims have standard dual-zone programmable thermostats and power-fold, power-heated side mirrors. To keep the hatchback quiet, it has floor silencer sheets, foam-type insulation and an acoustic layer windshield.

The sporty iM has a 137-horsepower engine while the regular Corolla has 132 or 140 horses under the hood, depending on the edition. Each is offered with a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Both cars get great gas mileage, saving you mile after mile. Price your favorite model.

The iM has the same safety equipment as the regular Corolla. This includes eight airbags and automatic highbeams. You also get a lane alert, a collision warning, and automatic braking.
